Project Monitoring Applets: Overdue Stages, Rescheduled Dates, and No Activity

Contractors.es now has three new applets that help project managers catch situations that require a response - without reviewing every project one by one.

Stages past their deadline

The Overdue Stages applet shows a list of stages whose planned completion date has already passed. Each entry has an Overdue by label, and a tooltip next to the stage name states exactly how many days the date has been shifted. You can set a minimum threshold (e.g. only stages overdue by at least 7 days) and narrow the view down to active stages (waiting or awaiting an advance payment), so you are not overwhelmed by archived entries.

Stages with repeatedly rescheduled dates

The Stages with Repeatedly Rescheduled Dates applet catches stages whose dates have been changed at least a given number of times within the last few days. This is a signal that something is off with planning - changing a date too often is usually a symptom of gaps in the estimate, material problems, or tight deadlines. In the applet settings you can choose the minimum number of date changes and the period (in days) over which those changes are counted.

In-progress projects with no activity

The In-progress Projects with No Activity applet shows projects in which nobody has done anything for a while. The inactivity threshold can be set independently. The new Last activity column in the project list provides this information in one place, without opening each record separately. A value of Never means that no activity has been recorded for the project yet.

Filtering projects by contract date

The project grid filters now include a contract date field. This makes it easy to select projects signed in a given month, quarter, or date range - without having to dig through all records.

All three applets have their own settings (thresholds, periods, filters), so each team can adjust them to its own reality. The applets are available from the dashboard once enabled in the configuration.
