We can officially announce that we have finished work on the equipment warehouse. Work on it took several months. We consider it to be one of the most important parts of Contractors.es. The interface is easy to use and uncomplicated, which makes working with the module much easier. In addition to the basic register of [...]
This Cookie Policy describes the cookies and local storage used by the Contractors.es website (“the site”) at https://contractors.es, and how you can manage your consent. Last updated: September 2026.
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser on your device when you visit a site. It lets the site recognise your device on subsequent visits. Local storage (e.g. localStorage) works similarly, but the data stays in your browser and is not sent to the server with every request.
These cookies and storage are required for the site to work. They do not require your consent.

|---|---|---|
contractors_consent_v1 (localStorage) |
Stores your consent preferences (cookie categories, policy version) | Until you clear localStorage in your browser |
contractors_chat_engaged (localStorage) |
Remembers that the visitor has already opened the chat - after that the widget code is loaded automatically on subsequent pages | Until you clear localStorage in your browser |
contractors_country (cookie) |

Google Analytics 4 - user identifier | Up to 2 years |
_ga_* |

A live chat widget powered by tawk.to is available on every page (except the 404 error page). The widget code is fetched from the servers of tawk.to only after the visitor clicks the “Chat” button - until then we download nothing from tawk.to and do not connect to them. The connection to tawk.to therefore starts only at your request. After that first click the button remembers it, and the widget code is loaded automatically on subsequent pages - so the conversation carries on when you move to another page of our site.
Consent to store cookies and local storage is given in the consent form built into tawk.to, which is shown together with the chat panel. According to tawk.to, no cookies and no local storage related to the chat widget are stored until the visitor accepts that form - the files are created only after your decision. The form is shown by tawk.to, not by us: our consent banner has no entry for this service, because its consent is collected right there.
| File / storage | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
tawk_uuid_* (cookie) |
Essential to the chat widget’s operation | not specified by tawk.to |
tawk_uuid_6adf6bb82e5d7834785f7e80 (cookie) |
A unique visitor identifier - recognising returning visitors | 6 months |
twk_idm_key (cookie) |
Keeps the visitor connected and prevents duplicate connection requests across pages | until the session ends |
TawkConnectionTime (cookie) |
Coordinates connections across multiple browser tabs | until the session ends |
twk_token_* (localStorage) |
Session token - the conversation continues when you move to another page of our site | not specified by tawk.to |
token (localStorage) |
Essential element of the chat widget | not specified by tawk.to |
PreviousNav (sessionStorage) |
Remembers the previously viewed page | until the browser tab is closed |
The exact set of files depends on the tawk.to widget version and your dashboard settings - check it in your browser’s developer tools if in doubt.
The content of the conversation, the IP address and the visitor identifiers are processed by tawk.to. tawk.to is located in the United States and does all processing there, so this information leaves the European Economic Area. In its own privacy policy tawk.to declares that it relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (together with the UK and Swiss extensions), contractual protections and other approved mechanisms for transfers to third countries.
The site implements Google Consent Mode v2. By default (before you give consent), no analytics or marketing cookies are stored - the browser sends a denied signal to Google. Only after you grant consent (even partial) is the signal updated and the corresponding cookies may be stored.
Mapping of our categories to Google’s signals:
functionality_storage, security_storagepersonalization_storageanalytics_storagead_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalizationIn the past (on the previous WordPress + Elementor + Complianz version of the site) we used dozens of cookies (WordPress, Elementor, Jetpopup, Polylang, LiteSpeed, Google reCAPTCHA, Google Fonts, YouTube). All of them were removed during the migration to the new infrastructure.
The cookies and local storage set by external services today are described in the previous sections: Cloudflare Turnstile (2.1), Google Analytics and Google Ads (2.2-2.3), and tawk.to - the live chat widget (2.5), whose files appear only after the consent form built into tawk.to has been accepted. In addition, YouTube - its files appear only after you click a video play button and grant consent to the “Marketing” category.
If you find cookies on the site that are not listed above, it will be from a future feature - we will update this list to reflect them.
On your first visit we show a banner asking for your consent. At any time you can:
Withdrawing consent deletes the local consent record (contractors_consent_v1). Cookies already set by Google need to be cleared in your browser directly.
Consent for the files of the tawk.to live chat widget is given in the consent form built into tawk.to (section 2.5), not in our consent banner. To withdraw it, delete the tawk.to cookies and local storage in your browser (section 6) - the chat stays unavailable until consent is given again.
You can disable or delete cookies at any time via your browser settings. Note however that:
contractors_country) prevents automatic redirection to the correct language version.Browser-specific instructions:
We store cookies for no longer than necessary to fulfil the purpose for which they were collected, or until you withdraw consent.
