In a construction company, time works twice — once against your margin, once against your people. The faster you see where leads come from, who’s actually working, and which bids simply aren’t winning, the faster you can do something about it.
That’s why the latest Contractors.es update introduces three new reports that deliver exactly this view — without exporting anything to Excel.
1. Referrer Conversion Rate
The new Referrer Conversion Rate report shows the effectiveness of each lead source — from ads, through referrals, social media, to your own website. For every channel you get three metrics:
- Number of bids — how many biddings were submitted
- Conversion rate — what percentage ended in a signed contract
- Cycle length — how many days from first contact to decision
This way you see not only where the money comes from, but also which channels convert fastest — and those should get the budget first.

2. Employee Activity
The Employee Activity Report shows a per-employee view with an activity-over-time chart. In one place you can compare who’s actually working on projects and who’s only on the schedule. A tool useful for both managers and owners who want decisions based on facts, not impressions.
3. Sales by Representatives and Estimators
Two companion reports — Sales by Representatives and Sales by Estimators — show the results of individual sales people and estimators. Both contain a project breakdown, bid value, and effectiveness, so it’s easy to see who’s pulling results up and who needs support.
What this changes in practice
- The business owner gets the answer to “is our sales working?” in one report.
- The sales director sees which representatives are delivering and can tie it to commission.
- The office manager compares employee activity over time and reacts quickly to drops.
All three reports are already available under Reports in your Contractors.es panel — no extra setup required.
