In construction, email is more than correspondence — it’s evidence. The contract, the agreement with the site manager, the supplier’s complaint, the payment deadline. Everything you later need to find when settling a project. If those emails stay in an employee’s personal mailbox, the company doesn’t have them.
Contractors.es solves this in two steps.
1. A dedicated archive email address
Every user gets a unique address in the @contractors.es domain that they can share with clients, suppliers, and partners. Any email sent to that address is automatically archived in the system and lands in that user’s inbox — ready to be attached to a project, an invoice, a proposal, or any record.
In practice it works like this: a client writes to archive+yourcompany+jane+xyz@contractors.es → the email lands in Jane’s inbox in Contractors.es → with one click she attaches it to the relevant project. Even if the employee leaves the company, the correspondence stays in the system.
This is for everyone who used to archive emails manually, forward them from personal accounts, or — worse — didn’t archive them at all.
2. Microsoft 365 login with one click
If you use Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Office 365, or personal live.com / outlook.com accounts), you can now connect your mailbox to Contractors.es without app passwords and without manual server setup.
Pick your provider, click Connect, and confirm authorization in the Microsoft window. The system receives an OAuth token, and from then on:
- emails from your mailbox are fetched automatically,
- new messages can be archived in the background,
- your mailbox password is not stored in Contractors.es — the authorization uses a token that you can revoke at any time from your Microsoft account.
3. Gmail accounts — with Google App Passwords
For Google / Gmail accounts we provide the well-established Google App Password login. Inside the system you’ll find a detailed step-by-step guide that walks you through:
- turning on two-step verification on your Google account,
- generating a one-time app password in your account settings,
- pasting it into the password field in Contractors.es.
This is the method Google itself recommends for third-party apps. You can revoke the password at any time in Google settings — you don’t need to store it anywhere.
What this changes in practice
- The business owner is sure that project correspondence won’t be lost in an employee’s personal mailbox.
- The office manager connects Microsoft 365 with one click — no need to ask IT to configure a server.
- The employee doesn’t need to remember extra passwords for Microsoft, and for Google goes through a simple, one-time setup.
